  2.  Assessment shall be comprehensive while focusing on key competencies. 4. With improving the quality of candidate selection as the central objective, the assessment and evaluation mechanisms for the re-examination shall be further refined to enhance their scientific rigor and effectiveness and facilitate the selection of outstanding and innovative talent.

  The differentiated selection mechanisms for academic and professional degree programs shall be further improved, and the content of the re-examination shall be appropriately designed. 2. Re-Examination Date and Venue

  Date: The specific date and time of the transfer re-examination will be announced separately after the National Master’s Program Admissions Transfer Service System closes on April 14, 2026, based on the actual number of applications and availability of qualified candidates.

  Any adjustments necessitated by actual circumstances shall be subject to the final official notice.

  3. Determination of Candidates Eligible for Re-Examination

  In accordance with the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Education and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and taking into consideration the applicant pool and enrollment plan of the hospital, the minimum National Postgraduate Entrance Examination scores required for admission to the re-examination have been established for the first-level disciplines offered by the hospital, as shown below.

  For each discipline, candidates will be selected for the re-examination in descending order of their initial examination scores, with the number of candidates generally being no less than 200% of the planned enrollment quota. For disciplines (or program categories) with fewer qualified candidates than this ratio, all eligible candidates will be invited to the re-examination.

  The minimum scores required for the re-examination are as follows:

Degree Type

Code

Single-subject full score (out of 100)

Single-subject full score (>100 points)

  Based on the admission quota and the prescribed re-examination ratio, candidates meeting the minimum score requirements for each discipline will be ranked by their initial examination scores from highest to lowest, and candidates equivalent to 200% of the admission quota will be selected for the re-examination. Where the number of qualified candidates in a discipline or program category is less than 200% of the admission quota, all qualified candidates will participate in the re-examination.

  III. Admission Procedures

  1. Admission Principles

  Admissions shall strictly adhere to the principles of admitting candidates based on actual needs, conducting comprehensive assessments, selecting candidates on merit, and maintaining high standards even if this means leaving places unfilled, while ensuring fairness, impartiality, and scientific rigor. Candidates proposed for admission must participate in and pass the re-examination. A total re-examination score below 60 points will be considered a failing result.

  Candidates under any of the following circumstances will not be admitted, or their admission eligibility will be revoked:

  (1) Failure to achieve a passing total score in the re-examination;

  (2) Failure to pass the assessment of ideological and political qualities or moral character;

  (3) Failure to be included in the publicly announced list of candidates proposed for admission;

  (4) Failure of a candidate admitted for directed employment to submit the directed-employment agreement within the prescribed period;

  (5) Failure to pass the personnel file review;

  (6) Failure to submit the graduation certificate or other required documents within the prescribed period;

  (7) Failure to pass the required physical examination;

  (8) Submission of false information.

  2. Calculation of the Overall Score

  The maximum score for the initial examination is 500 points, while the maximum total score for the re-examination (comprehensive assessment) is 100 points. The overall score for all candidates will be calculated on a 100-point scale using a weighted formula, with the initial examination accounting for 50% and the re-examination accounting for 50%. The formula is: Overall Score = (Initial Examination Score ÷ 5 × 50%) + (Re-Examination/Comprehensive Assessment Score × 50%)

  The overall score will serve as the candidate’s final total score for admission purposes.

  3. Determination of the List of Candidates Proposed for Admission

  Based on the officially allocated admission quota for each program (the second-level disciplines listed in the program catalog), the admission leading group of the hospital/institution will prepare a list of candidates pending admission and a waiting list. Candidates on both lists will be ranked from highest to lowest according to their overall scores. After the lists have been printed and verified, they shall be signed and officially stamped by the responsible leader of the hospital/institution and submitted to the graduate admissions office. The graduate admissions office will consolidate and review the lists submitted by the relevant admitting institutions and prepare a recommended list of candidates proposed for admission. Following review and approval by the university’s graduate admissions leading group, the final list of candidates proposed for admission will be published on the University website. The list will be publicly displayed for no fewer than 10 working days. Candidates for whom no objections are raised during the public notice period will be formally designated as candidates proposed for admission and submitted to the Education Examinations Authority of Guangdong Province for approval. Candidates proposed for admission shall then complete the relevant admission procedures.

  During the re-examination, supervisors and candidates will participate in a mutual selection process, and supervisor assignments will be confirmed. After enrollment, the hospital/institution will organize a comprehensive review of all admitted students.

  4. Physical Examination

  Candidates proposed for admission must independently undergo a physical examination at a Grade-A Tertiary hospital in their locality. The examination shall include blood pressure, height, weight, color vision, eyesight, internal medicine and surgery, complete blood count, fasting blood glucose, liver function tests, chest X-ray, and other required items. An electronic copy or scanned PDF of the physical examination report must be submitted by April 20, 2026 to the email address of the Science and Education Department of the hospital at szsfyzyk@163.com. The email subject and folder name must both follow this format:

  Admission Ticket Number + Name + GUCM Admitted Postgraduate Physical Examination Report (准考证号+姓名+广中医录取研究生体检报告)

  Candidates who fail to submit the physical examination report will not be admitted.

  Physical examination standards shall be implemented in accordance with the Guiding Opinions on Physical Examinations for Admission to General Institutions of Higher Education (Jiaoxue [2003] No. 3) and the Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education and the General Office of the Ministry of Health on Issues Concerning the Cancellation of Hepatitis B Testing in Physical Examinations for Admission of Students to General Institutions of Higher Education (Jiaoting [2010] No. 2).

  Candidates who fail the physical examination will have their admission eligibility revoked.
