With the goal of “Enhancing Precision Oncology Diagnosis and Treatment in 2026,” a  series of academic activities was organized, including a special lecture on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer, challenging case discussions, and teaching ward rounds. All medical and nursing staff from the Department of Gynecology actively participated, sharing knowledge and expertise while further strengthening their clinical capabilities.

Professor He delivered a special lecture entitled Recent Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer. Drawing on his extensive clinical experience and the latest research findings from home and abroad, he provided a systematic overview of key topics in ovarian cancer management, including the selection between neoadjuvant chemotherapy and comprehensive surgical staging, standards for surgical treatment, optimization of chemotherapy regimens, and the application of targeted therapy and immunotherapy. He also provided clear and insightful analyses of challenging clinical issues. He generously imparted his cutting-edge concepts and practical techniques without reservation. The lecture offered participants valuable insights and broadened their perspectives on the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.

During the challenging case discussion session, Associate Chief Physician Liu Limin and Attending Physician Li Qiuxia of the Department of Gynecology presented cases of fallopian tube cancer and ovarian cancer. Professor He carefully reviewed each case based on each patient’s medical history, clinical findings, and treatment course, offering detailed commentary and addressing key clinical questions. He offered expert guidance on treatment planning, perioperative management, and the coordination and sequencing of postoperative chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. Participants actively raised questions and exchanged views, gaining practical insights into complex clinical challenges and further strengthening their ability to manage difficult cases of gynecologic malignancies.

During the teaching ward rounds, Professor He visited hospitalized patients, including those who had undergone surgery for cervical cancer and those receiving postoperative chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. He conducted thorough physical examinations, reviewed their conditions and medical records in detail, and held face-to-face discussions with the clinical teams responsible for their care. He provided recommendations to further optimize individualized treatment plans and offered guidance on key aspects of postoperative care and rehabilitation. His rigorous academic approach, outstanding clinical expertise, and compassionate patient care brought reassurance to the patients while also setting an excellent example of clinical practice for the department’s medical and nursing staff.

Held at the beginning of the new year, the academic exchange under the “Three Famous Project” brought fresh academic momentum to the Department of Gynecology and further enhanced its capabilities in standardized and precision diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic malignancies.

Building on the outcomes of this exchange, the Department of Gynecology will continue to advance its expertise in gynecologic oncology, introduce cutting-edge technologies and clinical concepts, and strengthen academic collaboration and professional development. With increasingly advanced clinical expertise and high-quality, patient-centered services, the department remains committed to safeguarding women’s health and contributing to the continued advancement of the hospital’s clinical specialties.
